So I begin with reasons having to do with imaging. If I were talking to Mom I might be explaining that the smartphone is many things, not just a phone that you are able to go almost anywhere with and get calls, but it’s a camera, video recorder, radio, mini TV, calculator, voice recorder, flashlight, and a text and video messenger. Wow, that is a lot already for the money, I mean TV's and cameras and camcorders have always been pricey, right?
What else can it possibly do? It can be a police scanner, newspaper, book, shopping list, home shopping mall, bar code scanner in stores, coupon keeper, a wallet for payments and receipt organizer, you can look at almost any map, and it keeps you from getting lost because of its GPS (which I would have to explain to Mom, but she would have loved it).
It is a alarm clock or egg timer, photo album, it can make and send cards with your photos, to email. OMG, oh yes, no need to lick stamps and envelopes any longer as you have email and you can send a note/letter immediately. I think already Mom would be saying I am crazy! I think for days I would be showing her everything.
Let’s see, just a few more things, OK. You can draw and paint, you can edit photos and videos, it can translate languages for you, it is a dictionary, a encyclopedia, it can keep recipes and find recipes, it is a diary it can keep notes and health information, it is TV remote and can be a remote to other things you set up and it can be used to watch a baby sleep and last, but not least, you can do puzzles and play games. OK, I know, I could go on and on, but today, with so much it can do I say it really is not all that much money if you really look at it.
Now An Update On My New Phone, The OnePlus One
I still love it, the speed, the space it has, the size of the actual phone is similar to the bigger iPhone six, the screen is great, pictures and videos beautiful, it is up to date, it hardly crashes any of the apps and if an app crashes it is pretty much the app having issues and you just kill the app. I have forgotten to reboot it for week at a time, bad me LOL. Mine has not frozen at all, my husbands has twice, but that is in 3 months the speakers are amazing I can hear my music practically through my entire. house and i can hear it clear through my friends 2 bedroom apartment loud clear nice love the sound.
I also stick with my original thoughts here:
The phone has 64 gig of space, The camera is better than my old phone and the speakers are actually good. Ok the only complaint I have so far is the raised glass but putting a cover on, well, it takes care of that raised edge as you can see in my photo with the blue cover on it. Moving through apps is so smooth, everything seems so smooth, the faster processor and more RAM makes this phone pretty amazing, here is the original post with video review- http://artinkhomeandme.weebly.com/ink---blog/oneplus-one
